Psalm 6 is a raw, heartfelt cry to God. It begins in the depths of anguish—physical, emotional, and spiritual—and ends in quiet confidence. It shows us the power of bringing our sorrows, sins, and suffering before God. As we examine this psalm, we will see how David’s plea for mercy, appeal to God’s covenant love, expression of deep sorrow, and turn to confidence are ultimately fulfilled in Christ. Through Him, we are enabled to pray and live with trust and hope in God’s steadfast love.
