Psalm 14 is a profound declaration of human depravity, divine justice, and ultimate salvation. David, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, describes the rebellion of fallen humanity, the oppression of the righteous, and the hope of deliverance that comes from God alone. The apostle Paul later applies this psalm universally in Romans 3, demonstrating that all people stand guilty before God and are in desperate need of His saving grace.
In this psalm, we see three realities—the fool’s rejection of God, the Lord’s evaluation of mankind, and the ultimate salvation that comes from Zion.
