Brothers and sisters, let me ask you a question: What if God had never spoken? What if we lived in a world full of beauty and order—but no voice, no meaning, no direction from our Creator?
But praise God—that’s not our world.
Psalm 19 is a beautiful reminder that our God speaks. He speaks in the heavens above, in the Scriptures before us, and even in the conscience within us. He has not left Himself without a witness. He has revealed Himself clearly, truthfully, and powerfully.
This psalm takes us on a journey. It begins with the sky—sun, moon, stars—all declaring the glory of God. Then it brings us to the written Word, sharper than any sword, reviving the soul. And finally, it turns inward—searching our hearts, exposing our sins, and drawing us to the only place of safety: our Rock and our Redeemer.
And friends—this psalm is not just about general truths. It points us directly to Jesus Christ, who is the Word made flesh, the radiance of God’s glory, and the Redeemer we so desperately need.
So here’s where we’re going today:
We’ll consider three things this psalm reveals:
1. First, the glory of God in creation.
2. Second, the grace of God in Scripture.
3. And third, the holiness of God in the human heart.
At every step, we’ll ask: How does Christ fulfill this? And how should we respond?
